Bookkeeping that happens while you work
You create invoices, record bills and log payments. KudiBooks records the matching double-entry journal entries itself, so your books stay right without bookkeeping chores.

How it works
- 1
Do your normal work
Create invoices, record payments and enter bills from vendors.
- 2
KudiBooks posts the entries
Each action creates a balanced journal entry against a ready-made chart of accounts.
- 3
Adjust when needed
Make a manual journal entry for adjustments. Fix mistakes with a reversing entry.
What you get
- A chart of accounts from day one
- New businesses start with a standard set of accounts for cash, receivables, payables, tax, income and expenses.
- Bills and vendors
- Record what you owe, choose an expense category, approve it, and mark it paid as you pay.
- History is never rewritten
- Corrections add a reversing entry rather than editing the original, so you can see what was recorded and when.
- Exact money maths
- Amounts are calculated with exact decimals, so totals never drift by a kobo.
- Stock and the cost of what you sell
- Switch stock tracking on for a product and KudiBooks counts it, keeps its average cost, and posts the cost of goods sold when you issue an invoice for it.
- Roles and an audit log
- Invite an accountant or staff member with the right level of access, and see who changed what.
Common questions
Do I need to understand debits and credits?
No. Day-to-day work needs none of it. The journal is there when you or your accountant want to look.
Can my accountant use KudiBooks?
Yes. Invite them with the accountant role. Staff members can look but not change anything.
Can I edit or delete a journal entry?
No. You reverse it, which adds an opposite entry and keeps the original visible. This is how a trustworthy set of books is kept.
How is VAT recorded?
You set up tax rates and apply them to invoice lines. The tax on an invoice is recorded in a tax payable account automatically, and the VAT summary report adds up what you charged against what you paid for any period.
Can I bring in my existing records?
Yes. Under Settings → Data import you can bring in customers, vendors, your price list, opening stock and past invoices from a CSV. Every file is checked and reported on before anything is written.
