Know what you hold and what it cost you
Turn on stock for the products you keep. KudiBooks counts what comes in and goes out, keeps an average cost, and records the cost of each sale when you issue the invoice.

What I hold
| Item | Where | On hand | Average cost | Value (₦) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jollof spice mix, 1 kg | Main store | 120 | 2,400 | 288,000 |
| Packaging boxes | Main store | Low · 18 | 350 | 6,300 |
| Rice, 50 kg bag | Ikeja shop | 34 | 62,500 | 2,125,000 |
| Stock value | 2,419,300 |
Packaging boxes are below the re-order level of 50. Issuing an invoice takes stock out and posts the cost of what you sold.

How it works
- 1
Set up what you hold
Mark a product as stocked, give it a unit and a re-order level, and add the stores or shops where you keep it.
- 2
Record what moves
Receipts, transfers between locations, write-offs and counts each add a line to the stock ledger.
- 3
Sell it
Issuing an invoice takes the stock out and posts the cost of goods sold. Cancelling the invoice puts it back.
What you get
- Many locations
- Keep a level for each store or shop, and move stock between them with a transfer.
- A ledger of every movement
- Nothing is overwritten. Each receipt, sale, transfer, write-off and count correction is a line you can read back.
- Average cost
- Stock is valued at the weighted average of what you paid. The value on any past date comes from the movements up to it.
- Counts
- Count a location and post the differences. Items that went negative are flagged so you know to count them.
- Re-order levels
- Set a level per item and see what is running low.
- Invoicing is never blocked
- You can invoice an item even if the count says none is left. It is flagged for a count instead of stopping the sale.
- Opening stock from a file
- Bring your starting quantities in from a CSV. The file is checked before anything is saved.
