How it works
- 1
Choose who it is for
Search your customers, or add a new one without leaving the invoice.
- 2
Add what you sold
Start typing and pick an item you have used before. Its price and tax fill in. Anything new is saved automatically.
- 3
Create it and share it
Download the PDF or create a payment link. Part payments are tracked against the invoice.
What you get
- Saved items
- Everything you put on an invoice is saved with its price and tax. Next time, type a few letters and pick it. Fix a price once in Products & services and it is suggested from then on.
- Your own invoice numbers
- Choose a prefix and style such as KB-2026-0042, and carry on from any number. Or type a different number on a single invoice. Two invoices never share one.
- Payment terms in one click
- Due on receipt, net 7, net 14, net 30, or a date you choose. The due date is worked out for you.
- Tax, line by line
- Set up rates such as VAT once and apply them to the lines that need them. Totals are calculated exactly, never with rounding-prone decimals.
- Naira first, other currencies too
- Invoices default to Naira. Dollars, pounds, euros, cedis, shillings and rand are one click away.
- PDF and payment link
- Every invoice has a downloadable PDF and a link your customer can open to view it and pay online.
- Email it, and chase it
- Send the invoice from KudiBooks with the PDF attached and a pay button. Edit the wording of any email, send reminders by hand, or switch on automatic ones for the days you choose. Clients get a receipt when they pay online, or whenever you choose to send one.
- Part payments and corrections
- Record part payments and see the balance due. Cancelling an issued invoice reverses its entry instead of deleting it, so your records stay honest.
Common questions
Is invoicing in KudiBooks free?
Yes. There is no subscription and no per-invoice fee. Fees apply only if a customer pays online: Paystack’s processing fee plus a platform percentage shown when you connect Paystack (2% by default).
Can I invoice in Naira and dollars?
Yes. Each invoice has its own currency, and reports are shown per currency. Automatic exchange-rate conversion is not built yet.
Can I email an invoice from KudiBooks?
Yes. Email it from the invoice with the PDF attached and a button to pay online, after editing the message if you like. You can also send payment reminders by hand or have them go out automatically on the days you choose. Every email is listed in your sent log.
What happens in my books when I create an invoice?
KudiBooks records the amount owed to you and the income, and any tax, automatically. You do not need to make a journal entry.
